2012 Staff Applications
Thank you for you interest in working at Mountain Camp for the 2012 summer. We are now accepting applications from new and returning staff. We will begin reviewing applications and setting up interviews mid-January. Below are our applications for the 2012 season:

Activity Coordinator Addendum (must be completed along with a Camp Counselor Application)
This Addendum is available for all General Counselors who wish to take on one or more of the additional duties listed below. All coordinator positions will receive an additional weekly salary (based on position).
SECURITY – Maintain a secure waterfront area. Live in tent at the waterfront. Supervise area at specific times during the day when no campers or staff are present (Including, but not limited to nights and mealtimes).
A&C – Work 3-4 periods/day at A&C, oversee organization and cleanliness of area, manage purchasing, schedule all period activities, train all activity staff on projects. Come up with new/creative ideas.
BUS – Co-coordinate bus trips to and from camp for every session. Check kids on and off of bus safely. Supervise kids on bus. Organize and distribute lunches both to and from camp. Deal with lost articles. Answering parent questions/refer to office as needed. Pass out certificates to all campers on way from camp. Take day off with in-between session staff every session. Communicate with office regarding status of arrivals and departures when leaving and arriving at each bus station.
MOUNTAINEERS – Coordinate Mountaineer Program.
STORE RUN – Camp Driving position. Pick up mail in Pollock Pines and deliver mail to the office daily. Purchase any necessary supplies while in town daily.
STORE MANAGER – Schedule a minimum of 2 staff to work at the store from 5-6pm daily. Cover store when any working conflicts arise. Work Free Choice store period every week. Ensure store is properly cleaned, inventoried and stocked daily. Work with Program Director to purchase any additional items. Properly train staff to work in Camp Store.
OVERNIGHTS – Plan 6 overnights for every 2-week session. Work with counselors and campers to ensure they’re packed and prepared for the trip. Manage necessary equipment & supplies for overnight. Obtain Fire Permit. Clean and organize outings shed and equipment. Manage staff and lead campers on kayaking overnight.
ROPES – Oversee all aspects of Ropes Course (safety, staff training, equipment, running program, schedule). Run the Ropes Program for all activity periods.
BIKES – Clean, repair and maintain all bikes. Organize bike shed. Maintain existing Mountain Bike trails and development of new trails. Coordinate ordering of supplies with Program Director.
EP – Work with Program Director to plan and implement all Evening Programs and other Specialty programs. Train staff on songs and skits. Coordinate counselors at rest time to plan and implement EP. Assign EP nights to staff. Oversee all aspects of EP including set up and clean up, stage, props, costumes, and music. Make necessary announcements and Emcee the proceedings. Continuously improve programs and develop new material.
CIT –Work with Program Director to train other CIT staff and implement program. Be in cabin with CIT’s for all applicable sessions. Lead Out of Camp CIT trips. Coordinate White Water Rafting trip with Program Director. Be available to adapt program as necessary. Work with other counselors on Little Cabins, Blazer Activities, Camp Dances, etc. Schedule CIT’s with their little cabins.
