Mountain Camp is a traditional coed summer residential camp in Northern California. Summer camp near Lake Tahoe and San Francisco, California for kids and teens.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a staff member at Mountain Camp for the 2010 season. We have now begun accepting applications. We will review all applications and start setting up phone interviews after December 1st.

Positions are available for experienced, responsible and enthusiastic young leaders who would be interested in devoting their summer to working with children in a positive, outdoor environment. We are looking for outstanding role models who want to inspire youth and create memories that will last a lifetime.

CPR and First Aid certification is mandatory.

Skills such as ski boat drivers, life guarding, song leading, guitar, backpacking, rock climbing, mountain biking, arts & crafts, sailing, windsurfing, fencing, self – defense, photography, yoga and gymnastics are particularly desirable.

Also we hire about 30% of the staff through international placement agencies, bringing in qualified instructors and counselors from all over Europe, New Zealand, and Australia. The atmosphere created by hiring staff from around the world is unique. The practical skills as well as the cultural education the international staff provides is a wonderful addition to the overall camp experience.

At Mountain Camp, we have a camper/staff ratio of approximately 3:1.
