What about health and safety?
Mountain Camp has an excellent safety record, never having had a serious accident. Camper's health and safety is stressed at our staff training week and we typically have a registered nurse on our staff. Most staff members are certified in Red Cross First Aid and basic CPR and Waterfront staff are also certified as lifeguards. Hospital service is available in Placerville, 33 miles away, if it should be required. The Infirmary is located in the center of camp and is staffed around the clock to address any camper or staff medical needs. Staff are encouraged to and rewarded for extra medical certification including EMT, WOFR, advanced first aid, advanced CPR.
